The SRG was founded in january 2011. It is part of the Joint-Lab IP³, co-funded by the state of Baden-Württemberg and BASF SE. The group is focused on the structuring and functionalization of nanoscale particle based materials. Due to their special physical and chemical properties such materials find an increasing number of applications and products. In many cases improvements of the product properties are possible, in some however completely new properties can be achieved. The functionality is usually closely linked to structural parameters.
