Research Topic

Scale-up of particle production methods, particularly based on CVD, for catalyst applications

Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) is, in the laboratory scale, a very precise method for structuring and coating the surface of nanoparticles with metal or oxides, for example for catalytic utilization. The aim of this work is the development and optimization of a CVD process in the pilot scale, starting with the chemical functionalization of the support particle surfaces over the choice of suitable precursors, to the optimization of a coating reactor.
