The research of the applied mechanics group is dedicated to the rheology of complex fluids. Supporting the development of modern processing and application technologies as well as understanding the effect of molecular architecture and mesoscopic structures and interactions are complementary and equally important aspects of our research activities. Since especially for complex, multi-phase fluids product formulation and process engineering have to be carefully coordinated in order to achieve technical success.
