Project work "There's something in the air – (nano)particle emissions in everyday life"
This project work offers the opportunity to gain initial experience in independently working on scientific questions in groups of four. The work involves measuring nanoparticle emissions in everyday situations of your own choosing. Examples of questions include: How many nanoparticles are produced when toasting bread for breakfast? How much particulate matter does my car produce? How effective are respiratory filters really?
The project involves familiarizing yourself with the necessary measurement technology, independently planning the experiments, comparing the results with data from the literature, and presenting the results at a joint final event with all teams.
In addition to the practical application of the measurement techniques covered in the lecture, the project work also includes tips and tricks for designing diagrams in presentations.
The project work will take place at the beginning of the summer semester (April-May).
